We sometimes have to make a selection between candidates for a program. In CISV Belgium, we apply the following selection criteria:

• Motivation : candidate wants to be there, participates (even if shy), candidate enjoys to be part of it,
• Taking part in the preparation activities (critical):
  • we don’t want to send a participant we do not know;
  • it is also when your child will have the opportunity to discover CISV;
  • get ready for his specific program and;
  • bound with other delegates.

Taking part in the preparation activities is not only a sign of motivation it is a major step in your child’s adventure.

• Age : We give priority to the participants who cannot have a another chance to participate in the program in the following year. In addition, a candidate who already took part to a specific program would not have priority for that same program the next year.
• Maturity
• Family / participant involvement: participating in a CISV program is also family experience. By supporting CISV, you give an opportunity to other kids to go. Your child may also benefit from it (this criteria only applies when all criteria above are met)
• Subscription before 31 of December have priority to candidates that arrive later in the year
• Finally, when all the above criteria are met we will give priority to candidates living in Belgium
