Does my child need to speak English to go to a CISV Village?

No, they don’t have to speak English for a village. All activities will be translated by the leaders in all the languages spoken at the camp. We want to make sure that all kids understand the games’ rules and are able to participate in all debriefing sessions. However, knowing a bit of English will facilitate contacts during free time, so don’t hesitate to teach them few words every week so that they feel more comfortable.

Some knowledge of English becomes important starting with Step Up participants (14/15y).
